My Norton internet security 2005 subscription runs out in a few days. Iíve seen people on forums that donít care for Norton. Since itís time to pay up, Iím looking for opinions on AV S/W. Iíve been pretty satisfied with Norton, but have never used anything else. And what about those free anti-virus programs?

well you probably heard this but Norton .... sux.... it consumes alot of system resources and the detection rates are really low

i would recommend NOD32 .... light , good detection + heuristics and easy to use

i would also recommend to use multiple layers of security ex. Anti Virus , Firewall , Process Guard .....
