I have an issue with the speed of my internet right now. It's going extremely slow. I am getting about 10kb/s of bandwidth and that is it.

I am using Vista 64-bit and this issue is starting to get really tire-some. When I first installed Vista 64-bit it was going at max bandwidth which is 330kb/s down and 110kb/s up so this is just ridicules. My girlfriends computer is set up right beside mine and it's connection is running fine. At first, I thought mal-ware or spyware, nothing could find any threats so I decided to reformat and the problem is still occuring. I think it might have to do with my wireless adapter but am unsure. It's hard to fine any drivers that work properly for it, but the one I am using says it installed fine.

It is a Linksys WMP54G, Linksys decided to not make drivers for 64-bit os.

If anyone has anything I could try I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,

steevz

Does your girlfriend's computer have Vista on it? If not, then the first thing to check would be to see if your router is Vista compatible.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

Yep, hers does. Vista 32-bit.

Just went and bought a new network adapter, D-Link WDA-2320 and it seems to be faster. But only giving me 70-80kb/s. Hmm..

My ISP says everything is fine on their end.
