I was trying to download and run ComboFix. I followed the instructions to load Recovery Console prior to running ComboFix. While ComboFix was running, it stopped before completing. My computer went back to reboot itself. When I got to the screen to chose starting Windows XP or Recovery Console, it could not boot windows. After I chose to stop itself from rebooting, I got the error message "STOP: c0000135 (Unable to locate component.) This application failed to start because basesrv was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." So I chose recovery console and ran chkdsk. After a long time it finished, indicating that it had repaired some items. Again I tried to boot windows and are still unable. This is my office computer so I would really appreciate any help.

Have a read here about ComboFix. You may have to completely reinstall your operating system.
