There is this computer that uses outlook express as the mail program and was working fine untill the startup files got corrupted or something .I ran the win98se setup again and everything seemed to b ok except the mails, when sending /receiving it gives TCPIP error occurred while trying to connect to the server. Account:....error No 0x800ccc15 .Im sure the a/c user name and password are fine cos when I set the same account settings in another comp it works fine .who out there has a clue of resolving this?

In out look express click on tools and then accounts. Look for your mail account and make sure you if servers listed in your outgoing and incoming mail server fields. Dont use the defaults

In addition to Grinler's quite probable solution, Microsoft knowledge base has a comprehensive list of lots of errors, above quoted included

Also this might have some info, though is more limited in scope
