question from a linux noob

hi, i just installed Kubuntu (KDE version of Ubuntu) and everything is fine except for the fact that i can't get my internet setup, i am on a wireless network (801.11b) and use a usb wireless adapter (Microsoft's MN-510), linux doesn't seem to detect it. how would i be able to make it detect it so i can configure it and what not. :thumbsup:
