well ive decided to build a new machine and what your views really on.
heres the spec with some links
CPU - Q6600 with Akasa AK-965 Intel 92mm Heatpipe Cooler - 775 heatsink
HDD - 1T samsung spinpoint 7200RPM 32MB here
mobo - ASUS P5N-E SLi NF650i here
RAM - OCZ 4GB PC2-6400 Platinum Vista (2x2GB) here
GFX - Novatech GeForce 9600GT SLI 512MB GDDR3 here
case - Antec Nine Hundred here
PSU - OCZ 600W GameXStream SLI Ready PSU here

anyone have any veiws on this and would they look at changing anything?

What's the computer going to be used for?
What Operating System are you planning on using?

i was going to use it for gaming and also video encoding so just a multi purpose one really.
I was going to stick to XP

I suggest getting a beefier graphics card if you're going to be gaming with that PC, a 9800 GTX would work. Also, you are using 4 GB of RAM, if you stick with 32-bit Windows you will not be able to use all 4 GB. A 64-bit OS would be required to use all 4 GB. XP 64 just sucks, Vista 64 is good.
