I'm using XP sp2,COMODO firewall,AVAST A/V.Spybot S/D. & I/E 7.
I have only just formatted & re-installed about 2 weeks ago and I can't get the auto updates to install.
They download but won't install. I've tried turning the firewall off but no good.
There must be some configuration that I need to use to get it right.
Any ideas ??

Copy these to notepad and then rename the file to .bat. Run it and it will register all the files one at a time.

regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll

I had this issue on my wife's computer, and it required me to update to Windows XP SP3 to fix the issue.
