I have looked but for some reason, I cannot keep my folders to be set to open in thumbnail

Have tried everything, but they revert back to list

Have any suggestions?

See if this helps:

Go Start > Run and type "regsvr32 shmedia.dll".
Go Start > Run and type "regsvr32 shimgvw.dll".
