Apologies if the question has been asked before, but I've tried a search for this sort of event, without success.

I've made it a practice to clear the Event Logs prior to shutting down (somewhat anal, I know!), so that - if anything goes pear-shaped during a session - I might have a chance of tracking it down, as I've only got that day's logs to view. In Vista Ultimate, you can filter the Windows Logs for that viewing, but I can see a way of getting the filter ("Warning" only) to stick permanently. Saving the filters as a custom view only seems to last for that session too. Is there a way, please?

TIA!

Hello Ray, yes you can filter logs, but about Warning-only permamently you cannot...For a little solution try press on "Type" ...
