I recently downloaded Microsoft Antispyware Beta. All the bells and whistles were working at first. Now I can`t find System Explorer list. It`s hidden. On the help tab, it tells you to Click on expand icons to list them. I cant find an "expand icon". Any suggestions on how to get it turned on? I have tried reloading it a few times to no avail. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Have you tried going through "Tools" > "Advanced Tools" to "System Explorers"?

This list is where you click on a particular "Explorer" to see the information.

I'm wondering how long ago this change occurred.

What did you change in your system just prior to this happening?
New programs added, modifications, deletions.... anything that might have
corrupted the M$AS. It is a bit strange that deleting that program and re-installing,
that it remains corrupted.

Are you having any other problems with your OS or other programs?

It's possible that you could do a system restore to before this change first
occurred and return your OS and the M$AS to that point in time.

See BC's tutorial on Windows XP System Restore

This happens to me too. When I go to the system explorers area, it is empty. Here is a screenshot.Posted Image

Hi Jefro,

There should be the following list in that column:

*Application
--Downloaded ActiveX
--Running Processes
--Startup Programs
*Internet Explorer
--IE BHOs
--IE Settings
--IE Toolbars
*Networking
--Window's Host File
--Winsock LSPs
*System
--Shell Execute Hooks

Since it's apparent you don't have that, all I can think of is you had a corrupted download. I would remove the MSAS entirely and go back for a fresh download of the beta1.
