Connect To Sql Server 2005

how to connect to my own laptop sql server 2005?
so heres i did put:

Server type : Database Engine
Server name:
Authentication: windows authentication


so wot should i put for server name, i tried several names but it didnt work n gave me a warning message box and heres da message

When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. IT sounds like you had better talk to your instructor. There is nothing any of us can do.

i got this software when i bought it, its Toshiba brand so? should i call to toshiba centre to ask then password and username??
