My computer detected a number of viruses this past week. I am running on Windows XP. My Mcafee Security notified me this past week that it detected a few viruses and indiacted that they were removed. I then started to get a security alert indicating that I had viruses and that I should click on the window--which I did not. I then started to get a software licenses for XP virus detection--which I did not reply to. I have run Spybpot Search, Adaware, AVG and Malabytes--all of which indicate that they cature the virus, but it is not removed when I restart. The virus packages have indicated that I have Virtunmode as well as some other trojans. Lastly, the main issue that I have which might be an issue is that my toolbar redirects me to different sites--for instance if I wanted to get to a site to download softwrae I cannot as I get redirected. In addition, on my Outllok, I can read the emails, but if you send me an eamil with a web address when I try to click the site my internet message says that I cannot go to that site. I am able to surf the web, but obvioulsy something is wrong with my computer. Lastly I tried to do a system restore and my computer indicates that I have no restrt point. I am desperate--so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Enclosed is the hijack this log from yesterday.

Hi

1. Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

http://downloads.andymanchesta.com/RemovalTools/SDFix.exe

2. Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive%
(Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

3. Reboot into Safe Mode`:-

Reboot into >>>safe mode

4. Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
Type Y to begin the cleanup process.

It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
Press any Key and it will restart the PC.

When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.

Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
(Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).

Finally paste the contents of the Report.txt back on the forum.

THEN ...

Please Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here :-

http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Ant...ware_d5756.html

or here :-

http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.
* The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
* Copy and Paste the entire report in your next reply.

THEN ...

Please follow these directions to run Combofix & post a log.
