Hi: I have recently picked up this virus/spyware and have noted the following symtoms:
1. Windows automatic updates keep turning off and cannot be turned on...

2. pop up web pages

3.Icons for casino sites appear on my desktop random;y

4.a lot of problems with Internet explorer (can't load the current page espesially on the windows update site

5. slower running

6. a windows warning that says i am running low on virtual memory

7. computer locks up at will

I have ran several programs(adaware, spybot mcafee, norton system works and spysweeper. Most of these programs find the virtumonde adware and I quarentine it then delete it but it keeps coming back on the next scan.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated Here is the Hijack this log

Hi datatigger and welcome to Bleeping Computer .

I'm Dakeyras and I am going to try to assist you with your problem. Please take note of six things:
  • I will start working on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine!.
  • The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • It may prove beneficial if you print of the following instructions or save them to notepad as I post them.
Extra note: Please be aware as I am still in training all of my fixes/posts require prior checking by a Expert. So some delays may be inevitable, please be patient and I will reply again asap.

Hi

Before commencing with any of the below please make sure you are logged into the Computer Administrator account for this machine.

Please disable the following as it may interfere with the malware removal process:

SpySweeper:

If you have Spy Sweeper version 4:
  • Open it, Click Options over on the left, then Program options
  • Uncheck load at windows startup.
  • Over to the left, Click shields and Uncheck all there.
  • Uncheck home page shield.
  • Uncheck automatically restore default without notification.
  • Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect before running HJT.
If you have SpySweeper version 5:

To disable SpySweeper Shields
  • Open SpySweeper.
  • Click Shield Settings on the right
  • (or Shields on the left, depending what screen you're on).
  • Click Internet Explorer and uncheck all items.
  • Click Windows System and uncheck all items.
  • Click Hosts File and uncheck all items.
  • Click Startup Programs and uncheck all items.
  • Close SpySweeper.
  • Reboot you computer, and ensure Spy Sweeper is disabled.
Next:

If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.

Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running the tool:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

Please ensure you read this guide carefully and install the Recovery Console first.

The Windows Recovery Console will allow you to boot up into a special recovery (repair) mode. This allows us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. It is a simple procedure that will only take a few moments of your time.

Once Recovery Console is installed, you should see a blue screen prompt like the one below:

Posted Image

Click Yes to allow Combofix to continue scanning for malware.

When done, a log will be produced. Please post that log and a new HijackThis log in your next reply.

Do not mouse click on Combofix while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

When completed the above, please post back the following:
  • ComboFix.txt
  • A new HijackThis Log.
