Just a question for anyone still using video. My only DVD player is on my PC and it doesn't afford much comfort for viewing any thing in my bed room where I have my VCR. So I was wondering if there is a way to use the PC to convert DVDs to Video using the PC to do that? Anyone know how to do this and is willing to give me a run down on how to here? I'd appreciate that. I don't even know if it can be done? Any suggestions and/or recommendations as to where to go to find what I would need and need to know to do that. Thank you.
Also a question about the sound on the PC. The Window's startup and closing jingle will not play ever sense I unwisely but temporarily had a beta program installed on my PC, Windows XP SP 2 OS. Actually it was removing the bate program after it was causing problems that it took the Windows startup and closing jingle with it. The jingles are still there in the Window's Sound Device but know matter what I do to reactivate them from Window's Sound Device they just will not reactivate. Anyone know a real solution to this that doesn't inolve a total reinstall? Thanks.
