Hi,

I have a problem with my Packard Bell Diamond 1200plus scanner.

It was working fine a few weeks ago but now when i try and use it i get a message to say that its not connected when it clearly is!
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, I've downloaded a patch from the site that says it fixes this problem, but it still wont work. I've also updated the driver.

I'm using Windows XP SP3

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you follow the installation instructions?

Uninstall the old driver and disconnect the scanner. Download and doubleclick the file to install the drivers on your system BEFORE the scanner is connected to your system. Once the setup has finished, the scanner can be connected and Windows XP will detect the scanner and install the correct drivers automatically.

Have you checked the USB Hub controllers in Deviice Manager for any yellow exclamation points?

Even if Device Manager says everything is OK I would still remove them and reboot the computer to reinstall them
