Low Memory

Hello, i turned on my pc this afternoon and it started giving me errors for firefox each time closing it.
i went to the perofrmance options on System Properties
and under virtual memory it says
TOTAL PAGING FILE SIZE FOR ALL DRIVES : 0MB
is this the problem?
i have Windows XP SP3
and 512 MB RAM and i never had this problem before

Go to Start...Run...and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Performance Settings button
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Virtual Memory Change button
If it says "0" there, then click on the "System managed size" radio button and then click on the "Set" button
Click OK 3 times to exit the dialogs and then reboot.

Then go back and make sure that the settings have stayed as you just set them (for System managed size).
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

i asked my friend what his was set to and he has 512 MB
so he said that he has it set to
Initial:768MB
and maximum:4000

i used this setting is that OK?

Dunno - something must've changed the settings (as Windows will set it up as system managed by default). Could be a program, maybe a tweaking/registry program that you've used?

i installed true crypt on my flash drive the night before..anyways
