Did I Remove Ie When I Uninstalled Msn?

I was going through my programs list, deleting programs I thought I didn't need when I uninstalled MSN. But now I see IE is gone from my desktop.

I think I like Safari better anyway, but I'm just wondering why IE would disappear like that and if I can recover the bookmarks I had in my IE toolbars.
