Cant Defrag Xp

tried several methods, including safe mode and still cant defrag xp, HELP!!!!

Besides Safemode, sometimes it helps to turn off the screensaver and your power option settings

What program are you using to defrag with. What is your computer. Do you have any other problems with your computer other than defraging. There are many things that can halt defraging. The things that I have had problems with is a faulty hard drive ; but there has always been other problem and over heating but there again there was other things that wouldn't work as they should. I.E. some lap tops don't have enough battery to run a complete defrag.
