Hi !!

I am admin / moderator at an existing forum. The forum is part of a website, and has been around for about 4 years now. Recently we have been accumulating problems such as:
- admin panel failure (some functions do not work)
- no spambot protection (10+ spam posts per day)
- log-in problems (sometimes need to sign in 2-3 times)

Most of these problems appear to be related to "outdated" software: we are using phpBB 2.0.17 from 2001.
Unfortunately, the person who set up the forum is no longer around to help me update or assist with the subsequent tweaking (skins etc.)

If there is anyone with experience in his field, then any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

I shall pm the URL upon request (or post it here if that is OK with this board).

Thanks in advance, greets, Michael.
