I bought a used hp laptop without a battery. Just purchased a new battery and the laptop works great but when I connect the ac power supply it connects and then disconnects and the battery icon is on and the laptop is running on ONLY the battery supply not the ac power supply. When I take out the battery the ac power supply works fine. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

Might be something wrong with the charging circuit. Maybe that's why they sold it. Did you get the manual with it?

why won't my laptop work?

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
