I have 2 Computers on my network, 1 - XP PRO and 1 - XP HOME. When i'm on the Computer using XP PRO and click on " View Network Computers " I can see both computers and ACCESS both computers. BUT if i'm on the 2nd computer using XP HOME and click on " View Network Computers " I can see both computers but CANNOT ACCESS the other computer. What can I do to change necessary setting on the XP HOME computer so I can access the SHARED FILES from the XP PRO computer..??

Same situation when I click on " My Network Places "
XP PRO shows: SharedDocs on the computer i'm on
XP HOME shows: SharedDocs of BOTH computer

Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated...

Paul

Hi Paul,

First things first Is the firewall enabled on your XP PRO, do you have password setup on the XP pro. These might be some causes.

Are you getting any error when access XP pro from the XP home machine.

http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/addxp.htm Here are some steps. Check them.

Good luck.
