Use this link to find more information about the error: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/top...tml#entry409491
We'll need that in order to figure out what's going on.

Right now it appears that there's a problem with your networking (both from your reference to the WAN Miniport issue, and from the reference to netrasa.inf in the first error report)

The STOP 0x1a error refers to a problem with Memory Management. Try running the memory tester in Vista: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/using-vista-windows-memory-diagnostics-tool/
Let the test run for at least 3 passes (but overnight is better). If it starts giving you errors you can stop the test and post back for more detailed testing procedures (we'll need the exact model number of this PC to help with that).
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

- John  (my website: http://www.carrona.org/ )**If you need a more detailed explanation, please ask for it. I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.

If it failed the memory test, then you'll have to test each stick individually in the first slot.

HP info on changing the memory: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/documen...product=3755534

When opening the case, be sure that the system is unplugged from the wall. Then, when going into the case, ensure that you ground yourself by holding onto the metal chassis to prevent static electricity buildup.

Remove all memory chips except for the one in the first slot, then run the memory test and see if it passes. If it does, then you can assume that that stick and slot combination is good.

Then remove that stick and place the other in it's place - then run the test again.
Then remove that stick and place the first stick in the second slot - then run the test again
Then remove that stick and place the second stick in the second slot - then run the test again.
(this procedure can be shortened if you've identified a particular chip or slot problem).

If all sticks fail on all slots - then it can be either the memory is bad or the motherboard is bad (you'll have to either test the memory on another machine, or buy new memory and test it on your machine)
If both sticks pass on one slot, but fail on another - then it's likely that the slot (on the motherboard) is bad
If one stick passes on both slots, and the other fails on both slots - then it's likely that the stick is bad
If any other combination comes up - then it's most likely that there's an intermittent problem with the motherboard - although (less likely) it could be an intermittent problem with the memory.

5 days old? Take it back and exchange it for a new one!
It looks like a hardware issue to me - and that'd be the requirement for replacing it (at least that's how it works in the US, dunno about returns/exchanges in the UK tho')
