Hi I am new to this site, just been going round search enjines to see if anyone can help. My desktop icons have all disappeared and i keep getting a message saying windows virtual memory low. If I leave my machine on overnight in the morning I have a message saying creation failed at 614 or another number. The other day i got a message up off norton saying trojan desktop hijack virus detected. Can anyone explain what i should do, in simple terms if poss as i am not too technical.

How to use hijackthis & post it for us to analyze should be read. It explains that we need to see a special report from you posted to a particular section of this website, and when we reply after seeing it, then specific instructions will be given that you can easily follow. One-on-one counseling, kinda. A self-installing application download link is part of it. You'll do alright.
