Hi all,

OS: Windows XP Pro SP3

This is my first visit to this forum an I hope someone can help me with this problem?

When I press 'Start' then 'Run' and type in 'msconfig' nothing happens (I may get a brief flicker of the hour glass but thats all).

I have gone to the actual program (in 'Windows') and tried to 'Open' it from there but with the same results...

So, I would be very grateful if someone can give me an explanation of whats happening or better still let me have the 'FIX'?

Try running chkdsk /r and defragging?

Do any commands work from Start/Run...?
