i have a gateway laptop with vista 32 bit os. it froze up last weekend and would not boot up. after turning it on and off a hundred times and removing the battery i reinstalled the operating system. i also downloaded the drivers for the camera, the touchpad and the wireless internet.
however, now it is running soooo slow, that the laptop is almost not usable. it takes about 30 seconds just to open the browser. opening a program takes hours.
is there another driver that i need to download?
thanks hille

Have you checked Device Manager for any unidentified/not installed devices? To do this, go to Start and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Let us know if you find any devices that aren't operating properly.

Also, Gateway generally has all the drivers for their systems available at their support website here: http://support.gateway.com/support/default.asp Just enter your serial number and it'll take you to a page with the appropriate drivers for your system.
