Have you checked Device Manager for any unidentified/not installed devices? To do this, go to Start and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes) and press Enter. Let us know if you find any devices that aren't operating properly.
Also, Gateway generally has all the drivers for their systems available at their support website here: http://support.gateway.com/support/default.asp
Just enter your serial number and it'll take you to a page with the appropriate drivers for your system.
