I have a machine with CentQS (linux) loaded which I would like to install XP over it. I have it set to boot from cd and it does up to a point. It says "press any key to boot from cd". I do and next screen says it is checking the system hardware and then, the screen stays black and does nothing else. How can I make it to the XP setup menu?

Delete the linux partition...maybe XP cannot read it...which is why it stops.

Windows looks for FAT32 or NTFS file systems...or a blank partition, IMO.
