Can't See Video

Something I have done in last hour or so has caused my computer to not display videos when played with VLC or Window Media player. I can hear the audio, but the screen is black.

I can play mp4 videos with quicktime however.

The only thing I have done is I ran the windows update program and installed a few random updates.

Any ideas?

nevermind, I used the system restore and now its working.
