Hi. I was infected with a lot of different viruses and received help from a moderator on another board to help clear them from my system.
I still have no icons, no start button.
The moderator that helped me before told me to post on this forum and try to get help restoring the icons, etc.
Thanks in advance for your help!

To help further, we could do with knowing what you did to eradicate the viruses from your PC.
At first glance, it sounds like explorer.exe isn't loading\is corrupted.

To check this:
Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
Task Manager should appear
Click the Processes tab
Look for an entry called explorer.exe

If you re-installed Windows while removing the viruses, DO NOT follow the following lines (until ===)

If it exists, left-click it once and choose End Process
Choose Yes to confirm

Click File -> New Task
In the box that appears, type "C:\windows\explorer.exe" (Assuming that windows is installed to C:\windows)
Click OK

===

Post back what you find\see,
Tom

Ok, I did what you said and I don't have that under my processes.

*********************************************************
The problem first came when I ran Webroot spyware quarantined a bunch of stuff that came up.
The most critical(according to Webroot) being:

Antivirus 2008
Virtumonde
System Monitor: Absolute Keylogger
Trojan Horse: Magic Control
Trojan Horse: Trojan-Backdoor-5 sec
Virus: Ma/EncPk-DG
Virus: Ma/EncPk-CZ
Virus Win32/Liger-A

The other moderator had me run:
Malwarebytes
Atf Cleaner
Super Antispy

Thanks for your help!

Try the following, you will need your windows XP CD to hand.

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC
File->New Task

SFC /SCANNOW

If prompted to insert your Windows CD, do so.
