I was directed to this site from a friend who said these folk know what their doing. I truly hope so. I recently(and as recently, I mean around 4 days ago) got hit with the dreaded AntiVirus XP 2008. I quickly attemped to tackle the prob how I learned to tackle it from the Major Geeks forums, using a method of Spybot(S&D), followed by SUPERAntiSpyware, followed by MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, followed by CCleaner, and last, ComboFix. That's the usual cocktail that has never failed me before in ridding my PC of a dreaded nasty. And it SEEMED it did the job, for a day. The next day, I learned AntiVirus XP 2008 CAME BACK! It's little icon seemed to laugh at my attempt. So, I sought a different opinion on the matter, and searched to find my kin, people who suffered just as bad as I have. Well, it was then that I discovered more ways to rid my PC of AntiVirus XP 2008. Tried them all. But this time, AntiVirus XP 2008 came back even quicker, within seconds after the next reboot. One thing I've come to realize, this AntiVirus XP 2008 differs from person to person. Some people actually rid themselves of this dreaded parasite using, while others tried the very same methods and it comes back. Now, I've read the BleepingComputer.com instructions how to tackle this problem head on. Went through it by the book(the whole updated MalewareBytes, Quick Scan, Removal....and if problem continues, use HijackThis, identify the culprit and fix it). Nope, not working. Please, there has to be a way to kick this bug out for good!! Thank you for your time!

Hello, you need to post the Hijackthis log on the forum and they will help you. Do not use it on your own it can be disasterous.
Post your complete log here. HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal.
How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
