Hi. I had a friend come over and clean up some maleware on my computer. After he left, I couldn't transfer between web pages where I had to log-in (i.e., I could get out to my bank web site, but I couldn't log into my account - kept giving me an error message).

Here is an updated HJT log

Hello Kurt, Welcome to BleepingComputer. Nothing in the log except for a HJT.exe that needs a folder around it so it has a place to store logs and backups if you need to use it. I suggest you get your friend back over because it sounds like changes have been made in Internet Explorer? I will suggest I recently had similair issue where I could get to the bank but not into my account. I run a tight ship and every cookie has to ask first, after a while the computer learns which cookies you never allow which is about all of them for me. Well, it appears I got a prompt from the bank to allow a cookie and blocked it without thinking. Take a look in IE > Tools > Internet Options > Security > Trusted Sites > Sites > Then make sure the web sites you need are there, if not add them. Then move to Privacy then Edit. Add the sites you need to get to and make sure you are set to Always Allow. Careful not to change any bad one there that are blocked. I hope this helps.

Thank you - I will get my friend back over. This problem comes up on a number of different pages (i.e., bank, school, airline, etc....). I also have the same problem when I use Firefox. I might be having some major fixes here...

Kurt
