Since I got my computer, everytime I press the volume control buttons, a box pops up on the screen with the volume level I have right now. There's a volume icon with a horizontal blue bar that goes up with the volume. I'm not really sure what it's called.

However, since I edited the registry, it's disappeared. However, I'm not sure how to get it back. Can someone help, please?

Are you able to access the volume control by going to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Entertainment>Volume Control? If it's not there, you probably need to reinstall the sound driver
