Greetings all!

I stumbled across this site while googling a potential malware issue. Here's a few items about myself. I'm a 47 year old guy who didn't touch computers until 2000. I now run our household network of 9 computers (not all at the same time!). Only 3 of these computers are factory built, the rest built by me.

Here's the list:
HP desktop running XP Home
Toshiba laptop with 98 (still runs like a champ)
Toshiba laptop running Vista Home Premium
Homebuilt running 98/DOS for maintaining our radio club records
Homebuilt running XP Home
Homebuilt running XP Pro
Homebuilt running Vista Ultimate
Homebuilt running SUSE 11 (for now)
Homebuilt running Fedora 9 (the one I'm posting from)

And about the name, people ask me questions, usually something like "hey john, what can you tell me about xxxxxx?" The first forum I signed up for already had a heyjohn, so I just tacked on a couple of x's.

Nothing wrong at the moment, so I'll be a lurker for a while.

Good to see you.

You know you can't lurk if you've registered and posted...

You may not be able to lurk anymore, but you can certainly use BC as a source of knowledge in case you cannot answer one of those "hey, John" questions, or need assistance.
