There is, but spammers don't use just one email address. Better to use a filter which picks up on keywords.

So what would be best to stop them from sending me spam emails?

The best way is to have two email accounts. One which you use for sign-ups and registrations and one for your own use which keeps your email addy away from those that wish to send you cr@p.

There is nothing to stop spam being sent out, the filters don't pick up everything (though Hotmail is pretty good at it) and so the ideal system (which picks it out and deletes it before you see it) isn't there yet.

I would certainly not recommend any of the spam filters as being any better than your own email providers filters. I tried a few before and didn't find them any more useful.
