Hi all,

Since the last automatic update from M$, I have been receiving a message:

"the control required for this application does not exist" or some such, in a box with the red cross and "Control Centre" in the description field.

I don't know if this is a M$ bug, or if they have been infected.

I have a Gigabyte 8S661FXMP-RZ mobo installed with the regular software as received with the board. As an asside, I have also been geeting a "New Hardware Found" sreen trying to download a "SiS PORT" - if this means anything.

I have run a hijackthis scan, and here's the result:

Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

Hi all,

Sorry for that Grinler, I had hoped that the log would shed some light on the problem
!!

HOWEVER, while I was checking another driver problem in System devices, I saw this SiS PORT shown as a query, Yellow ?, and uninstalled it.

Guess What?? PROBLEM SOLVED, no more silly messages!!

Thanks for your time,

Regards,

Kev. :flowers:
