My Daughters laptop computer (EVEREX STEPNOTE) has crashed. When you power it up, two lights come on. One being the wi-fi connection. The screen remains blank (BLACK) it does not appear to load at all. It seem to be getting power, but does not boot-up in any way. She was advised that it may stuck in hybernation mode. She was told to remove the battery. Push the power button and hold it down for 20 seconds, replace the battery and try again. Not fix.

Any ideas.
