I'm some guy who fixes and configures PCs here and there. I took computers in high school back in 1981 and 82, but I was disappointed in the speed of things, so I hung out til windows 3.11. I bought my own PC in 98. An HP 230MHz smelleron with 64MB o' ram. When that blew up (or sh*t the bed as they say), I started building and tweaking things a lot. I have at least 20 PCs in my basement that I made from parts. I am a recovering pack-rat. So now I am the resident IT guy at work and at home, plus anyone around me with a sick or dead PC. Main reason for the delay to jump into computers was because I'm a musician/song-writer and waiting for things to process on the older stuff just seemed absurd. I love making electronic music and real analog stuff too.

I joined bleep to say thanks to the combofix authors. Also, it's a good idea to be part of a think tank when PCs go wild, and there seems to be a good vibe goin on here. I love to solve PC problems. Well maybe not love.....but I spend a lot of time doing it anyway.
Hope I can be useful to the group and vice versa.
See ya around
