One laptop I use (WinXP pro, running AVG 7.5) has been experiencing erratic behavior. Everytime I connect to the internet and have Internet Explorer running, about every 2 to 5 minutes I get some stupid pop-ups. A new window opens, sometimes to a dating site, sometimes to one of those fake antivirus programs and one time (after searching for a local pizzeria) to a webiste with a bunch of local phone numbers for totally unrelated services. I have the popup blocker turned on, so I'm not sure what's going on, other than some stupid infection. This behavior started after visiting myspace. Is this a trojan or virus? I didn't find anything out of the ordinary running in the processes list.

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
