My issue is a little different from the usual spyware/trojans. I am having too much CPU usage in all programs, including a lot from explorer.exe. This has only started recently leading me to believe it is more than just CPU load causing it. I scanned with numerous anti-virus/spyware removers, including Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009. It detected one malware with the name Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.eda. I did some research and it tells me that this mostly likely is a botnet using my computer as a victim. I'm not quite sure it was successfully removed, so I decided the best idea would be to leave it to you experts. Thanks in advance for your help.

If it was that you are infected with a backdoor connected to a botnet, then you would only see high cpu usage for the particular malware program. I dont see anything but lets dig deeper.

Please visit the following link and use the instructions there to post a ComboFix log as a reply to this topic:

When following the instructions please install the Windows XP Recovery Console if you are using XP.

After running ComboFix, please post the ComboFix log as well as a brand new HijackThis as a reply to this topic.
