Uncle... I give up. With 2 kids and lots of friends, our computers seem to be imploding. Thought I could take the easy way out and pay someone else to fix one computer. One month later and less $99, it's time to be a DIYer. I am hoping BC will educate me not only on removing malware, but on making computers work safer, faster and smarter. From everything I've read, this is the place to go.

Is there help for the hopeless?

Is there help for the hopeless?

There definitely are plenty of knowledgeable and friendly people here willing to help, and yes there is hope and there are always options.

Bear in mind that no antivirus solution is the "silver bullet", and having at least some kind of antivirus is better than nothing. If you've returned Norton for a refund, there are freeware versions available.

Good luck and see you on the boards
