I have been trying to back up my files on and usb of 4gbs, but it tells me is not enough space. I heard that you can use cd's as well to store them, but I don't think CD's have more space than my 4gb usb drive. What should I get in order to do this? Thanks in advance.

Get a larger hard drive?

The idea of backing up to a USB device with less than 10GB of space...would not work for many systems.

Just to ask, are you using a specific tool for these backups?

Alan.

If you are backing up files and folders you can use CD's but in my opinion an external hard drive would be best for backing up.

4 gB isn't enough - so you'll have to get more gB's of storage.
A CD only holds .6 to .7 gB
A DVD holds about 4.3 gB
You can purchase an external hard drive that'll hold hundreds of gB's for very little these days.

I agree with everyone that posted here about getting an external drive. They are really just so cheap now.
