When I run my finger along the side of my touchpad, it doesn't scroll. My mouse just moves. It used to scroll, but it doesn't anymore and I no longer see an option for it in the mouse properties/settings. I've had this problem for a while, but usually use an external mouse, so I haven't dealt with it. Now I'd really like it to work and I have no idea what to do. Control Panel>Mouse doesn't help. Any other suggestions?

I just updated my Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad driver. I have version dated at 6/20/08.

I have exactly the same problem. It was fine until suddenly for no obvious reason the scroll button stopped working. I have an Acer 5100 . I note that you didn't get a reply. Does anyone have any ideas. Is there a way to set the button controls?
