I decided to re-install as I started to drown in the sea of BSOD,

The Hard drive was reformatted with the,
Compaq OS CD, (for use only with restore CD).
So the bare elements of MS Windows XP Home
have been installed.

Note: This is WXP HE SP-1

The first thing that happened after the
installation restart was a, This computer has
recovered from a serious error, etc.

Next thing that occurred when I was capturing the above report image in paint was that I struck
the enter key, briskly when entering skew image info., and it crashed, as I hit that key,
now that I think of it, this occurrence was fairly frequent before on the previous SP2 Instl.
I changed the key board from a second computer here.
I received a BSOD, and have included the event log results, since it crashed a few times after.
I would like to get the SP1 working if possible, and then attempt to move on to the on-line D/L.

Any informations regarding the conditions of this system at this time would be extremely helpful.

Using chkdsk /r, . . .

There are 5 pages to the scan and it will not complete the last page, (5), it crashes or closes and restarts.

This is a re-install and I now am operating WXP-SP1, but I cant get past the problems mentioned in last post and this indicates there may be something wrong with the HD, correct ?

(concerning the event)
I found this, . . .
