My friend sent me a link to a site called gatearab.com on MSN Messenger, and because I trusted this friend I clicked the link. (It looked like this: Hot site removed - Grinler

Big mistake.

It sent itself to all my online buddies. I located the virus and deleted it, seeing as Norton Antivirus did not pick up the program, nor did Lavasoft's Ad-Aware. I thought I didn't have any more problems until I booted my computer this morning, when several errors came up, including one saying that my 'Programs' file in my C: drive was missing.

Has anyone else gotten the virus? Is MSN taking care of the worm?

I do not know if MSN will be taking care of the worm, but I am going to assume they will not be able to. You should notify your friends and have them run this online scan:

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/licence.php

as it should detect it and clean it as

Win32.Randex.1.Gen
