Hey all, I've been having some problems with my computer. I'm getting this error in my Event Viewer "WMI ADAP was unable to process the performance libraries: 0x80041001", listed as Event 60 (Warning - WinMgmt). I ran the WMIDiag.vbs program, and got many errors:

I attempted to run some of the fixes listed here and on the Windows site, but it didn't seem to help. I'll admit, this is a bit out of my normal range of being able to fix a computer by running defrag or something  Any help would be much appreciated!

Have you checked C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\OWNER\LOCAL SETTINGS\TEMP\WMIDIAG-V2.0_XP___.CLI.SP2.32_SPEEDBALL_2008.08.17_08.39.06.LOG for details? If so, what did it say?

It's a huge text file, too big to upload here or paste. I'll post it on my site if someone can take a look at it. I have no idea what I'm looking for.

I can't see anything significant in the bigger log that isn't present in what you've posted.
Have you tried the free program Dial-A-Fix ( http://wiki.lunarsoft.net/wiki/Dial-a-fix#Standard_version )? In particular, I'd try the "Flush Software Distribution" button, and in the Tools try the WMI fix.
