Hi there.

I am working on a computer using windows indego XP.
I've reinstalled this program onto the computer a week ago. Since than, we've had this 'Windows.0' and the Windows.
I dont know what the windows.0 is coming from? Is that not suppose to be there?? How do I get rid of it.
Its constantly coming up with virus from that section, so Im guess its not suppose to be there.

Also, we have one user. But it shows, more than one user - User.PAL. User~Pal. Are they suppose to be there?
I will do a hijackthislog..and see what comes up and post it under that section. If anyone can help me.

Windows Indego is an illegal/pirated version of Windows, as such we cannot help you with this due to the forum rules ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/boardrules.php ). I specifically refer you to this section

No subject matter will be allowed whose purpose is to defeat existing copyright or security measures. If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

I have informed the HJT forum leaders of this, and they will make the decision to close your HJT topic. In the meantime,
I see that you have an HJT log posted. Because you have this log posted, you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a HJT Team member, nor should you continue to ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer.

From this point on the HJT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean.

Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the HJT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the HJT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another HJT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond.

If after 5 days you still have received no response, then post a link to your HJT log in the thread titled "Haven't Had A Reply In Five Days?".

To avoid confusion, I am closing this topic. Good luck with your log.
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

I have the Knack. **  If I haven't replied in 48 hours, please send me a message. My eye problems have recently increased and I'm having difficult reading posts. (23 Nov 2017)FYI - I am completely blind in the right eye and ~30% blind in the left eye.<p>If the eye problems get worse suddenly, I may not be able to respond. If that's the case and help is needed, please PM a staff member for assistance.

I thought it was illegal - crap version. this is not my computer, I personally would wipe it all clean and put 'real xp' but it is not 'my computer to make these choices' - but Thanks for your reply tho. I will advise him, the owner to get a new version of windows. Thanks Sorry for bothering you guys here. Although I've always recieved help from this site, I really enjoy it here.

I will close the other HJT log myself, to not cause any problems. I do not want to get baned because someone else is using a a crap program, that im just trying to fix there computer.

This is the second topic that you have opened to apologize and express your concern about being banned. The topic was closed as a policy, not because you had intentionally tried to get around any of the rules. You are not in any danger of being banned, at least not yet. :flowers:
