Media Center Edition Freezes When Attempting To Watch A Video

I have windows media center edition and every time i go to play a video "which is located in my videos" media center crashes and sends an error report to microsoft does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ??

Every time?

What type of video files (file extension)?

What is the default program listed on your system for opening/playing such files?


Check Event Viewer for any info on the errors?
