I am looking at either of these 2 Hard Drives and am wondering if any members have either of them so that I can get feed back on experiences with them.

Your comments would be appreciated.

I have a Lacee 250GB USB 2.0 hard drive that uses a Western Digital drive. I love mine. In my work, I create images of software and have moved 6GB files - with that drive - that would have otherwise tied up our WAN.

As far as internal vrs external, I always side on internal because of data speeds.

Hope this helps.

i have had three external LaCie drives, love them,
now have a generic USB 2/Firewire enclosure with a maxtor 300gb
drive in it...
and a LaCie external USB 2/FireWire 400 with a 200gb drive in it

i love them both!

i am able to keep long-term backups of people's data (read as
norton Ghost images) some of those backups are like 30gb of

if your machine is USB 2 / Firewire compliant (or just buy your
flavor of interface for your PC) use an external drive...

in worst situation, house fire... as long as you keep your data
on the external drive... you will only have one thing to grab
instead of the whole case, to safeguard your data.
