I inherited a Windows 2003 network in which has a Unix SOLARIS FTP host to a directory on an Calerra array. The FTP host is just that, FTP with no security. I need to add a login and password for everyone outside my local domain. I am typically a windows guy so this UNIX stuff has me a bit flustered.

My question is. Is there any way to just add a secure shell to this, or anyother solution anyone can think of would be great.

I dropped a post on the networking forum as well http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/162849/securing-ftp-unix-and-server-2003/ I am in a bit of a time crunch as well, so I apologize if my typing is a bit paniced.

Google Putty and down load. You may want to use WEBMIN instead, but there is a bit of a learning curve.

Happy F---tp'ing
