I'm Missing Modules On My Computer

When I turn my computer on, two windows pop up,

RUNDLL
Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\dofumhax.dll

RUNDLL
Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\byfbumuj.dll

they got deleted by ComboFix so I was wondering how to get them back
and they seemed to have slowed down my internet explorer web page opening thingy
like it takes longer than normal for my webpage to show anything on it, its blank for a longer time
but when i search something in Google, the time still says something like 0.13seconds

Hi CompletelyRandom, and welcome to BleepingComputer.

Try running System Restore.

Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> System Restore.

When this opens make sure that "Restore my computer to an earlier time" is chosen, and click on Next>.

The dates appearing in bold are the dates that you can restore to, click on the date that you want and then click Next> to start the System Restore. This may take a long time to complete, and when it is done it will restart your computer. When the computer restarts and you have logged on as the administrator a Restoration Complete page will appear, click on OK to complete the process

I suspect that those errors are remnants of some malware that was incompletely removed from your system (because of the odd names of the files). Although irritating, the error messages are OK - it's just telling you that it can't locate and load the malware (which is what you want anyway).

My 2 concerns here are the use of Combofix. If you used it on the advice of a malware expert, then I'd suggest contacting them to see what else you can do. If you used it on your own, there's a chance that you're still infected and that should be addressed before attempting to fix any problems with the ComboFix program.

I'm going to move this over to the Am I Infected forum where you can get some more help from the malware experts
My browser caused a flood of traffic, sio my IP address was banned. Hope to fix it soon. Will get back to posting as soon as Im able.

It's not unusual to receive such an error after using tools to remove malware infection.

RunDLL32.exe is a legit Windows file that loads .dll files which too can be legit or malware related. A RunDLL "Error loading..." or "specific module could not be found" message usually occurs when the .dll file(s) that was set to run at startup has been deleted and it becomes an orphaned registry entry. Windows is trying to load this file(s) but cannot locate it since the file was removed during an anti-virus or anti-malware scan. However, the associated registry entry remains and is telling Windows to load the file when you boot up. Since the file no longer exists, Windows will display an error message. You need to remove this registry entry so Windows stops searching for the file when it loads.

To resolve this, download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.
  • Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click here if you're not sure how to do this.)
  • Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.
  • Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries.
  • When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.
  • Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.
  • Right-click on the entry and choose delete.
  • Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.

Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and save it to your desktop.

  • Make sure you are connected to the Internet.
  • Double-click on mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
  • When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • Then click Finish.
MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.
  • If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.
  • Press the OK button to close that box and continue.
  • If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
On the Scanner tab:
  • Make sure the "Perform Quick Scan" option is selected.
  • Then click on the Scan button.
  • If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button.
  • The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
  • When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
  • Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
Back at the main Scanner screen:
  • Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad.
  • The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you may be asked to reboot your computer so it can proceed with the disinfection process. Reagardless if prompted to restart the computer or not, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot normally (not into safe mode) will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.
