I am running with 3GB RAM now. Here are my specs:
Motherboard Asus M2N68-LA
*Dual memory archetecture
*4 240 pin DDR2 DIMM sockets
* Supported DIMM types ---PC2-5300 (667 MHz)----PC2-6400 ( 800 MHz )
* Non ECC memory only ( unbuffered )
*Supports 2 GB DDR2 DIMMS
*Supports up to 4 GB

I was told to actually use Dual memory I need matching sticks, And since Im running 3GBsnow they probably dont match, One probably has 2MBs, the other side 1MB. If I replaced the 1MB side with a 2 then added 2 more 2MBs would that work? Also whats the diffrence between the 667 MHz and the 800 MHzs? Which is better? Thankyou for your help

hi,,, like me you have 3gb of ram,,, and they can be matched pair's,,,, i see your mobo will take 800Mhz ram,,, i have,,, 2x1gb=2gb PC2-64OO (800Mhz) and 2x512=1gb PC2-6400 (800Mhz),,, you see, all the same stuff and matched pair's giving me 3gb, you also have 4 dimm slots like me so its probley configured the same way,,, 2+2,,,, if you upgrade to 4gb of ram then vista 32bit will only see and use about 3.2gb of that ram,,, so i would not bother with 4gb and just get some matched pair's of the faster PC2- 6400,,,,
you also need to get the right latency or CL,,, and the same voltage,,, a good way to get this is either take a stick of ram out and look on the side or log on to a site called crucial.com and run there system scanner, this will then recomend RAM thats compatable with your mobo,,, just look what CL, and voltage it says on the recomended RAM,, and there you go,,, then go to newegg and look for some ram i have recomended (PC2-6400) with the right CL and voltage that you got of crucial or of the side of your own ram,,,, or you could just buy it of crucial.com.
good luck.
